Portfolio of Works

This collection reveals my desire to capture exterior and interior scenes from ancient Persian architecture.  The most notable aspects in these paintings are the rich colors and overall effect of light.   The textures created by unique brush techniques making this collection truly compelling.  Each painting offers the viewer a depth and atmosphere that invites one to walk into my Persian world.   

I have been a painter; capturing the landscape of every place I have lived.  I have however been inspired by spending my last past two summer in Italy, Florence and Chianti Hills, painting landscape and documenting the countryside. 

My portraits are where I use my sixth sense as I read the personality of my subject.  In my portraits, my heart, mind and hands work together to the fullest.  Because the eyes of a person are windows to the soul, I paint the eyes in my portraits with exquisite attention to detail, reflecting the personality, the unspoken words and the character of the person I see in that moment in front of me.  I am available to paint portrait by commission.  eshahideh@gmail.com
