Born in Iran and raised in Tehran, Elli Shahideh credits her father, an educator, with fostering her creative drive and artistic journey. At the early age of nine he provided formal professional art training through rigorous private tutoring by Madame Trian, her mentor and one of the most famous French artists/professors of the 1960s.
Elli was awarded her Bachelors of Art degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and her Masters of Art in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University. She obtained her Teaching Credential with an emphasis in Teaching Art, plus her Master of Education Technology from the University of San Francisco.
She has exhibited at Muse Italo Americana, Thacher Gallery at University of San Francisco, Borders bookstore in San Francisco, Post Impression Gallery and the annual Art Span Open Studio’s at Hunter Point Shipyard, San Francisco.
